Reaching the next generation for christ

“One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

New Day Foundation is committed to reaching and teaching the next generation of Christian leaders.  The need for well-equipped, Spirit-filled servants of the Lord is great. The Bible makes it clear one generation is responsible for the next. New Day Foundation is strategically positioned and ready to do our part in helping fulfill this Biblical mandate.

We believe God has called us to be a leader in helping educate and train children and youth with a Biblical world view and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to have influence in their world. We realize we have a divine responsibility for the emerging generation, for discipling and passing on all that God has given to us. Discipleship is a close relational experience with someone who knows them well, who models Godly principles and can lead them to encounter the living God on a day to day, moment by moment basis and to be trained as an effective leader for the kingdom of God. This is our mission, and we are dedicated to creating, developing, and supporting places that are effective in fulfilling this mission.

Jesus has called us to be salt and light to this lost and hurting world.  We are preparing young people to go into every arena of culture – government, media, business, education, church, family, arts and entertainment as effective witnesses for Christ. 

We must tell the next generation – We cannot be silent – We cannot be careless!

We have a significant opportunity to extend what we have learned to the next generation. We will pass on the baton of faith to the next generation – So help us God, Amen!

• Psalm 71.18: “So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.”

• Psalm 78.6: “… that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children,”

• Psalm 78:4: “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders.”

• Psalm 102:18-22:  “Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD: that he looked down from his holy height; from heaven the LORD looked at the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die, that they may declare in Zion the name of the LORD, and in Jerusalem his praise, when peoples gather together, and kingdoms, to worship the LORD.

• We will teach the next generation God is the only true source of wisdom.

Old people have wisdom, but God has wisdom and power. Old people have insight; God has insight and power to act. Job 12:12-13

We will encourage young people to look at their lives with a biblical perspective.

Teach us how short our life is, so that we may become wise. Psalm 90:12

We will model a wise lifestyle for young people by honoring God and following his commandments.

The way to become wise is to honor the LORD; he gives sound judgment to all who obey his commands. Psalm 111:10a

We will always seek God’s wisdom and encourage others to do the same.

If any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.  James 1:5

We will be used by God to give future generations the gift of wisdom.

Happy is anyone who becomes wise—who comes to have understanding. There is more profit in it than there is in silver; it is worth more to you than gold. Wisdom is more valuable than jewels; nothing you could want can compare with it. Wisdom offers you long life, as well as wealth and honor. Wisdom can make your life pleasant and lead you safely through it. Those who become wise are happy; wisdom will give them life.  Proverbs 3:13-18

Prayer:
Dear Lord, please help us to be faithful in telling the next generation. Help us to faithfully, obediently, courageously and persistently try our best to pass on the baton of faith, knowledge and praises of our Lord!
