The Bible says going to heaven isn’t based on what you do–either good or evil–it is based upon what Jesus Christ did. Jesus died on the cross for your sins, was buried and on the third day He arose from the dead. This is the gospel (good news) is!
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 – “Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before… Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.”
God Wants You Go to Heaven
God does not keep people out of heaven, nor does He force or make anyone go to heaven. He created heaven for you, but you must choose to go. Also, God does not send anyone to hell either. People choose to go to hell, by rejecting the way to heaven. The choice is yours.
Jesus is the Only Way
Jesus says He is the only way to heaven. There are not several ways to heaven. We cannot make our own way nor earn or buy our way into heaven. We must enter through the only door. The door to heaven is Jesus.
“Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
Believe and Confess Jesus
Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead and confess Him as your Lord. There is nothing else that can get you to heaven. Only faith in Jesus.
Heaven is a Gift.
The Bible tells us heaven is a gift. It is a gift for every and anyone. However, the gift must be received. The gift of heaven is received by grace through faith.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Receive the Gift of Heaven Today
Pray this prayer; Father God I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I ask you now to come into my heart, make me a new creature in Christ. Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and making me righteous. Take over my life, lead me, direct me, guide me. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to overflowing. I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I am a new creation in Christ. Thank you Jesus. Amen!
(This prayer alone does not save you. Many people pray and believe with their minds, but never really become a new creation in Christ) It is believing in your heart what you confess (say) in your prayer that brings forth a miraculous change. So, if you really believe what you just prayed welcome to the family of God. There is nothing that separate you from the love of God. Don’t let the devil or anyone steal your faith and confidence in Jesus and the gift of eternal life (heaven).
1 John 5:13 – “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
Now that you have receive the gift of heaven (eternal life with Jesus) –
- You are “born again” (John 3:3).
- You are adopted into God’s eternal family (John 1:12-13).
- You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
- All your sins are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7).
- You are “justified” and declared righteous in God’s sight (Romans 5:1).
- You have passed from spiritual death (separation from God) to life (John 5:24).
- You are part of God’s flock of sheep and will live forever with Him (Matthew 25:46; John 10:27-29).
